Clean Architecture: Complete TypeScript Implementation
This page builds a complete, production-grade e-commerce order management service using Clean Architecture. Every file is written out — no pseudocode, no skipped implementations. By the end you have a blueprint that demonstrates every concept from the previous pages in working code.
Project Overview
The application manages orders with the following business rules:
- Customers create orders with line items (product, quantity, unit price)
- Orders start in
Draftstatus and can have lines added/removed - Submitting an order validates it has at least one line and calculates the total
- Only draft orders can be modified; submitted orders are immutable
- When an order is submitted, an
OrderSubmittedevent is published - Orders can be cancelled unless they have already shipped
- A discount rule applies: orders over $500 get 10% off
